Video Creation & Video Marketing: The Truth About Your Business’s Future

Video creation and video marketing as we all should know by now are the ‘in’ thing, for any business or marketer of any product, service or idea; it is the future of business. It works. It sells. It engages. It’s shared. Enough said!

What most businesses don’t seem to realize, either or after producing one or more videos, is what to do with them, once they’ve been made? Additionally, most business owners also encounter similar hesitation and even confusion, about the best types of videos to create for their business; and more importantly, to their bottom line, what their true costs will actually be. You see, videos can cost as low as a six bucks, for a 30-second cheesy photo-slide video with some text and background music, to thousands of dollars, for a professionally produced finished product; that garners both praise and admiration within their industry.

My thousands of hours of research into this exploding video industry over these past seven years has uncovered some very strange anomalies. Here are my facts: Most videos that are produced, either independently or by a professional video production house; we’re talking about 80%, are not designed for distribution. Most do not have any marketing or promotional legs once they’ve been created; there they sit, on their new YouTube channel, with, either under 100 views; or, just a few hundred, even after a few years!

Great videos; but, no way to get them to those that could have, should have, benefited from them…their potential clients! And, even if they did send them out to a few social media channels they are subscribed to, the content dies there, as they do not have many subscribers to send to; nor, are they active on these social accounts. So, what do they honestly expect to happen after the creation of one or more videos for their business?

As a business person, know this; there are many successful and workable formula’s and systems already in place, to help any business create powerful and stunning videos; affordable videos, that won’t break the bank! But, there’s just so much confusion and chaos in this marketplace; with every video wanna-a-be and video production house screaming to be heard! All claiming, that they are the best video creation experts.

Let’s get real; the creation of a video is not the end product here for your business; the number of people that watch it and engage with it, is your end result. Just because you can create or have made a pretty and stylish video, doesn’t mean it will give you your desired results, in terms of leads and sales; especially, when only a handful of people ever get to view it!

Many industry giants are predicting that video will literally change the world. According to a new report from Cisco, by 2019, online video will be responsible for four-fifths of global Internet traffic. The stats for the U.S. are even more impressive, coming in at 85%. Video is here and here to stay. It will or won’t be the future of your business; it will depend entirely on your video(s) and their targeted distribution network across multiple platforms and social media channels. NO VIDEO is an island unto itself.

Videos, once they are created, need to be marketed and distributed along the many social media channels, yours and many, many others. This can all be done automatically, with simple and affordable technologies; marketing technologies!

Here are some detailed social media stats your business needs to know:

As you can evidently see, your video can communicate with any of the above users, as it is free to be shared with anyone you choose when you are an active member of any of these social sites. Know this, if you know your potential audience, you can easily get any video to reach hundreds, even thousands of potential prospects at a time; that is, if you plan to market your videos; and most surprisingly, you can do this, even if the video is not professionally produced and costs thousands of dollars to make. The final cost of any video has absolutely nothing to do with its shares, likes, comments, or views! ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

Even the cheapest and cheesiest of videos can create hundreds, thousands, even tens of thousands of views; if, the video is relevant, entertaining, engages and compels the viewer to finish watching; and then, to take a desired or intended action; do what the video was created to do; get the viewer to do something. Opt-in, get a free download, subscribe, join, or call. The video initiates a call to action on the part of the viewer, your intended audience, your potential prospect! It activates them, because the video changed their mind, changed their view, or made them feel good. Those are the type of videos that work, personalized, customized videos that tell a real and truthful story, about your business, your products, and services.

You see, making a pretty, even cost effective video is NOT enough; even getting it out there to thousands of viewers is NOT enough. Why? Because the video must convert! It must be designed to convert! And, most videos do not sell, and are not designed to sell; whatever it is, you’re selling, or even pre-selling. Videos can also be a great prospect qualifying tool; that is, if they are designed specifically for that purpose. Videos are the best instrument to engage with your people; but videos, need to be created for real people, with real needs, and with real problems.

Videos don’t need to sell in a salesy sort of way; they just need to tell a good story and talk to your people on their level; as real people, and NOT just potential prospects to be sold! Astonishingly enough, what my research has also indicated is that even relatively poorly created videos, even with no calls to action; well, they still can take off and go viral…why, because they had a video distribution system set up and in place. 

Therefore, they generated likes, comments, shares, leads and sales! The future of your business rests entirely with your ability to create engaging videos for your audience; and to market these videos along the communication channels of their world; you know, where they hang out and share stuff, with other like-minded people, that they like and trust!

How To Use Creative Content To Drive Traffic To Your Site

How can your business use creative content to drive traffic to your website? Good question. First off, there’s so much content out there that it’s easy for anyone to become overwhelmed by it all. To drive traffic to your website requires two things; organic SEO traffic, or paid traffic. Those are your only options, other than, to blast out emails, mail out letters, make cold calls, or put up flyers here and there. Content is what drives traffic to any site; and, it appears, that the higher the quality of any content, the greater will be the returns, to bring in more, and a better quality of traffic.

What is creative content? Creative content is any content that is original, informative, well-written, interesting, engaging, easily readable, viewable, and gets the viewers, readers or listeners, to take the desired action. It compels people to act! That is the purpose of content; to engage the visitor to connect with your website and what it has to offer them. All creative content must connect with real people; it must be relevant to their specific needs and wants; including, their various actual pain points.

Creative content can take many forms; well-written articles or blog posts; engaging videos or podcasts; PDF files; reports, newsletters, webinars, seminars, lectures, email courses, eBooks, whitepapers, and the list goes on…. Please understand that spun content of any kind is NOT considered to be creative content, as spun content is a mish-mash of synonyms that have been substituted from an original written source. This content is designed to appear original; but, it usually does not read as well as the original; nor, does it convert people to take an action as well.

Well-written content that is of high quality should get you first page results in the search engines, without any paid means. Optimized content for relevance and to target specific keywords will also help your content get better received and even shared. The better the quality of your content, the greater is the chance of it being shared, as well as, the frequency of these shares will also increase dramatically! That’s the beauty and power of good quality creative content.

Most website owners don’t realize that only good quality content creates a flood of traffic to their sites. They think that they can just put up any quick piece of content, 400-500 words and that’s enough to get first page results; but, honestly, that’s not going to be nearly enough to interest and engage your viewers or readers enough to like, follow and share your content with their friends, associates and family. Only real relevant content can connect with your audience. There are no cheap or quickie fixes when it comes to quality content. Content is Not Just King, ‘Content is Everything’!

Whoever said ‘Content was King’, should have said, ‘Content is Everything; because, it is the most important element for an online webmaster or marketer to know; if they ever hope to achieve success within their chosen niche. Quality Content online these days, is like oil or gold discovered underground; right beneath your feet. It is yours to do with as you will; that is, if you know how to sell it to the highest bidder!

But, it must first be real gold and not fool’s gold; equally important, it must also be real oil, and not snake oil; if you get my meaning. Quality sells; and most importantly, quality resonates within the hearts, minds and wallets of every interested reader and viewer that loves your content; and devours it with every loving byte. Content is everything!

Regardless of the form this content takes, be it an article, blog post, video, podcast, PDF file, slideshow, etc.; the content you create or curate must be of the highest quality standard, and look and feel professional; or, if nothing else, it must be real! It must be real and honest; truthful and straightforward. It must be easily readable, viewable and understandable; while keeping your interest, and engaging you into an action; as intended. That’s what good quality, original content is supposed to do; to get you, into some sort of ‘feel-good’ action! Don’t you think?

I have said this many times before in my earlier writings and blogs, there can only be one original master of anything! In that article though, I was referring to an original work of art, and stating that there can only be one true master (like a Rembrandt or a da Vinci); the rest are all but imitators; nothing but duplicates, mere copies of the original masterpiece! I was arguing against spun content; because as a writer, I only know too well the true value and benefit of only producing and publishing, original quality written content, as opposed to the meaningless dribble of spun content!

It just works; and the readers and viewers love it; and then, they share it! Quality, irresistible and engaging content is hard to ignore; it captures your attention and interest from the ‘get-go’, and keeps you moving, as a willing participant, towards an intended destination. Simply, it just works wonders to create a loyal fan following!

I honestly believe that this is ingrained within our DNA and brain cells, to proactively engage in and respond to higher aesthetics, both in communication as well as within a creative and artistic framework. We know what we like and what we don’t, based on this innate and primal piece of our humanity; to be able to recognize and appreciate quality wherever we see and experience it. Know this, as an immutable LAW of internet marketing; “content is not just King, Content is EVERYTHING”!

Create Great Well Written Content

Create great content that is well written, readable and engaging; so that the readers will want more, even before they finish reading what they’re reading. Quality content communicates; it also resonates with the readers; as long as the message is tightly targeted, and uses their ‘language’. What do I mean by ‘language’? Language is based on shared realities, expressions, agreements and similar ways of perception. Your tribe, clique, group or organization, all have fixed beliefs, and ways of talking about matters, things and people that are common.

These like-minded expressions and individual emotional feelings towards anything or anyone keep the group in agreement and keep things real between them. They are both observable and measureable. And these, can also be skillfully used as a marketing tool to reach your people (whoever they may be); while communicating more intimately and effectively with your intended audience.

We are living in an Age where Content is King; at least quality content anyway! No longer will the search engines accept mediocrity, spun content, and other automated hacks to rig the system in the webmasters favor! Google evolves, Google updates, Google penalizes, and Google demolishes and annihilates ones rigged rankings; just ask JC Penny!

Quality, well-researched and well written content is the future of communication and mutual understandings; and not just online, but offline as well, within our society and other nations. It is where ALL the search engines are heading; now that most have AI’s to help them understand, assimilate and optimize their search results specifically to your search query. Know this, Google and YouTube understand EVERY word in your blog, on your site, and within your video. You are ranked or ‘tanked’ accordingly! :)

Therefore your words, expressions, connecting ideas and thoughts, all must be relevant and make sense to Google and the other search engines’ robotic analysis and algorithms; that is, if you wish to rank as an authority with relevant, well written, and great content. Otherwise, your content if it’s poorly written and just copied from here and there, won’t stand a chance. Google will know you, will rank you, and love or hate you, by the quality of your content and how well written it is for your intended audience.

I know this from personal experience; nearly a decade worth of writing millions of well written words, over a network of a hundred different blogs and niches. I know exactly what Google and YouTube wants, re content. They want, and now expect and demand the best. You know, content is King! So, if you really expect to be on the first page of Google or YouTube, know how to getfirst page results, every time; simply, by creating great well written content for your readership or viewership.

Selling Physical Products Online Vs. Selling Digital Products Online: The Power of Numbers

Selling physical products online are and can continue to be very profitable and ever-expanding; at least currently speaking! But, what is even bigger and brighter, in terms of financial profit potential, is the power of selling and marketing, digital products online! There has never been anything comparable in the history of sales; we’re not merely talking ‘arithmetic’ growth, speaking mathematically; I am talking in realistic terms of ‘exponential’ sales! That’s the true power and dynamics of digital internet marketing!

Physical products are manufactured, they use physical materials, and they must be delivered across many distances, using physical energy and individual human physical power. They mostly deplete our fragile environment and create much more waste, as an immediate by-product of both their creation and eventual destruction. They are not sustainable; and most importantly, shareable, with many others, and all at the same time. This is their greatest limitation and expense! More about this point later on….

Selling physical products anywhere, either online or from a brick and mortar, will always have its physically imposing limitations. For one, you only have so much space to allocate towards storing it, as you sell it. Even if you have a fulfillment house doing all the storage and delivery of the physical product; even the refunds; you will still have limits as to your number of sales; and most importantly, your subsequent profits…no matter what! This fact is simply bound to the inescapable and undeniable physical laws of the Universe!

Whereas, with an in-demand digital product; there are no physical barriers or limitations; no resistance to expansion; no friction on your forward sales; and, nothing to stop the exponential growth of your digital product! One that I might add, also comes with zero waste; at least not in physical terms! This alone, is of astronomical value; as long as we’re speaking, using larger terms. The vastness of space, is of comparable magnitude to the numbers one can generate selling digital products online. Hyperbole? I don’t think so!

At present, there are over 5 billion cell-phones worldwide; our world is more connected now than ever before; and yet, we only have just over 2 billion people with internet connections worldwide; so you can see, digital information is still in its relative infancy! We still have about 6 billion people that will eventually, within the next few years or so, come online. For the near future, feeding, clothing, and servicing the needs of 8-10 billion human beings will not be an easy task; especially, in physical terms. We have physical limitations on our population growth; if we grow any bigger; well, as we’ve already seen; something will have to give, and from somewhere!

In the not so distant future, digital information that will be easily accessible, practical, readable and understandable; while being affordable to the masses, will generate not billions, but trillions upon trillions of potential profits; to those marketers that are willing to think in terms of BIG NUMBERS! Exponential numbers! Our only saving grace as a species, in this author’s humble opinion, is to market and sell online digital products to the ever-growing and ever-needy masses. They need information to grow, to learn, to understand; and they need practical and sustainable solutions to save their lives; no matter where they reside on our planet.

Those digital marketers that will be able to communicate and direct their digital products to the masses, will be the ones that will be guaranteed a financial future, based on unlimited digital needs and growth, and realistically based on the true desires of the many needy billions! You want to see unlimited financial growth? Find a much needed solution or an answer to something people find important in their lives; and then, find or create a digital product to meet those needs; specifically and caringly! This is your only true formula for unprecedented exponential growth!

Get Google First Page Results Every Time

Getting Google first page results every time is not only possible but actually attainable every day of the week; and by anyone wanting to achieve Google first page results. Over the past five years that I have been writing this blog, I’ve tested and discovered hundreds of different ways to get those coveted first page results, sustainably, consistently, and within a timely manner. It will show you how fast, even by fluke, you can get onto the first page of Google, almost instantly, by the very next day!

Press Releases can also give you first page status; again almost overnight. They are great for events, launches and announcements. But, they are not long lasting; they can get you onto the first page; your product or service; website, etc., but, it will not remain on the first page more than a few days; certainly not weeks or months. It has a specific purpose and can be used freely or for a paid service. There are millions upon millions of bloggers in North America; actually, in most large metropolitan areas there are a million plus bloggers; and on various platforms. So, many people are vying for first page results, and depending on the searched for keywords; it could become quite the logistic and marketing battle, to get onto those first page results! Through organic SEO it could take weeks or months; while paid advertising, Google, Bing or Yahoo ads, will get you there within a few hours; once the ads have been approved they are indexed pretty quickly for first page viewing!

Posting comments in popular forums, making strategic comments on targeted blogs or websites within your niche; especially sites with a large following; including your links, is the best way to get your site, blog, etc. onto the first page of Google. Google wants to rank an authority site according, giving it, deservedly, first page status and rankings. So, find some good site’s and start creating some mystery, intrigue, and controversy, while you direct them to your blog, video, website or landing page!

My easiest method to achieve Google first page results every time has been to create a blog, and then, to create a YouTube video with the same title as my blog! Optimizing this video within its description and utilizing the appropriate keyword tags; even locally optimizing the video for my geographical location. This has been my biggest secret successful action, in getting consistent and really fast first page results. Just watch a few of my instructional YouTube videos and you’ll see for yourself truly how easy it is to create a simple video, with your blog content, and then post and upload both to your blog and YouTube channel. It is the only way I know to get Google first page results every time!

If You're Not Building An Email List You're Not Building Your Business

My headline begs repeating, if you’re not building an email list you are not building your business; regardless of your market or niche. Another equally important fact that deserves mentioning here as well, is that your customer matters to your future as much as you matter to theirs; that is, if you expect to continue to service them, and keep them, as a customer for life!

Not all visitors, viewers or readers of any site will be able or willing to instantly take an action, or to do what you would like them to do at the exact moment they land on your website or landing page. You know, to call you; request more info; join your email list; become a subscriber or member; request a free quote, a free estimate or evaluation; get something of value,  in exchange for their name and email address-like a free eBook, free report, free intro chapter, free video, etc.

So, why let them leave, like everyone else in the business does; by that I mean, lose them for life; when, if you care enough, to get their names and emails, you may instead, capture them as a potential customer for life? Did you know that you can convert your leaving visitors from your website to your email list, and capture their names and emails just before they leave? One can double or even quadruple any websites or landing pages’ conversions, by skillfully and effectively using leaving pop-ups, and further calls to action, or relational offers, before the visitor leaves the site or landing page!

But to do this effectively you must know your audience, your public. What they like, dislike, value, fear, enjoy, etc.; with regard to your particular service, product or industry. This is the key!
Here is an industry fact: 40-80% of ALL website visitors to ANY website will leave that site within the first few seconds of their arrival; and without going anywhere else or doing anything else on that site or landing page!

Any captured list has great prospect value, and can be contacted and strategically developed for future use and to further add great benefit to any business/website owner. Take for example a website within a service niche like plumbing or roofing. Most websites and business within those niches do not capture leads, opt-ins, or email addresses unless they serve an immediate need or roofing problem or plumbing emergency. They all want you to call now, or request a free quote or estimate today!

And once serviced or spent, these leads, prospects and customers, are usually never contacted again. The business has been concluded, and now, other customers are pressing for their service and attention. They then move on….Never to contact them again! This is the biggest mistake any business can make! Not keeping and following up on any name and email that has been left on your site, regardless of whether you serviced them, sold to them, or even failed to sell them! These names and emails are like gold, that is, if you care about a customer, if you think like a customer, and if you are looking for a customer for life.

Following up, keeping in communication, keeping them knowing about your business and service or products, offering them useful and practical knowledge, updates, tips, discounts, etc., on any other future relational services or products, keeps them interested and staying on your list, actively and willingly. They may buy another home, they may have a neighbor or friend that needs a roofer or plumber; and, even if they initially choose another company over you, by you staying in touch, by you sending them follow up relevant emails, and by you caring enough about them, may get them to eventually refer you or use your service themselves; whenever their future need ever arises! 

Only by you staying in touch, and by maintaining friendly relations, could this ever become an actuality. Never underestimate the value of a name and an email; because at the other end, there is a live human being, one that wants to trust and believe in another, before they can do business with them. Your website or landing page has a number one priority, capturing names and emails of any and all visitors to that site or landing page. Help them along, get their names and emails every chance you get. 

Hopefully, you have realized the importance by now, that regardless of your business or niche, if you’re not building an email list, you are not building your business…for LIFE!

This is a real review of what’s wrong with WP Fan Page Machine. First off, WP Fan Page Machine is an automated software product that produces automated results; results, that have been fraudulently created, and ingeniously crafted to get other Facebook users engaged to respond, like, share and reply to your automated postings. Fake postings, created by spin software designed to create multiple versions of certain pre-selected words and phrases, spun in varying forms that make sense, but appear unique. People engaging with them believe them to be real; if they knew they were fake, they wouldn’t waste their time!

In this review of WP Fan Page Machine I will only tell you the truth; not as I see it, but the truth as everyone else will see it; everyone else that is, except those greedy or stupid internet marketers that want to get on the fast track to internet riches, through automation and sheer laziness! Sure the product works; but, I honestly suspect the real quality of their leads. And, yes it can make you money; but, this process is structured on a false premise and a lie. Is this really how you honestly wish to run your business by creating clients on false pretenses? This is NOT a long term solution to prosperity; I can assure you of that fact right here and right now. NO business survives for too long when your client base is based on a lie, trickery or chicanery!

WP Fan Page Machine can make you money; it can get you leads, likes, comments and shares; and yes, they are from real people; but, they are being duped into their engagement by fraudulent means. I would like to think that the most important part of any business is SERVICE; it has been described as the life blood of any business; yet, I need to ask, where is the service in tricking people? That’s tainted and toxic blood, don’t you think?

If you care about your business and its future, stay as far away from WP Fan Page Machine as you can, as these types of automated programs can only degrade your credibility with your base of followers or subscribers; once they discover how they were duped, by a robotic program that is not human or humane. It is just a machine, designed to generate income at the expense of those poor suckers, stupid or gullible enough to interact with it!

Content Creator Extraordinaire

What is a “content creator extraordinaire”; is it a gifted writer, an innovative video creator, a sexy and smooth talking, podcast info creator; I really need to know, who or what is a “content creator extraordinaire”? I will tell you, right here and right now; if only, because inquiring minds need to know! :)

As an experienced writer, ad copy writer, and copywriter of almost forty-years, I sure know how to say what I want, and to say it so that most people would understand what I have to say! My communications, my message, my word copy, is totally and deliberately targeted at my intended audience. I am only talking to them; only writing for them; only creating for them; and no one else! 
My writings and content creations are extremely personalized and totally customized for my clients, and their respective audiences! I only create for them!

The creation of extraordinary content does not come easily or without cost to me; each word, is painstakingly, but lovingly crafted, so that anyone (my targeted readership) reading my words, will immediately realize the power within them; the persuasive power of mutual understandings, through targeted, and highly personalized communications. I write as if people matter; as if we all matter!

The reason for this moniker, is very simple; I would like to rank for these keywords, ahead of everyone else on those Google first page results. Not for any other reason, than to do it. I am not looking for fame or fortune, as I already have it. I am just playing around, and Google search results, just happen to be my favourite playground. As you can see, I can easily achieve Google first page results.

You see, the truth is, that well-written quality content is transcendent and, it resonates at the core of our very being! It is immediately uplifting, engaging, and moves us rhythmically towards the writers’ final destination…mutual understandings.

My reader, you; my viewer and listener, you; is what keeps me going and keeps my wanting to become a better writer. Nothing else matters to me! I create for you; in order to serve your desire for knowledge, wisdom, and even entertainment. Additionally, the reason I truthfully consider myself a content creator extraordinaire, is that I am a dedicated independent research scholar and prolific writer; unbounded by monetary constraints, such as needing to sell or make money for a living!

I write for passion, and NOT for the God Almighty Dollar! I take my time, I do my research, I double check my facts, and then, I begin to write; and NOT, with a written outline; BUT, with what’s truly in my heart, mind and soul; I write, the words flow, and I create an extraordinary piece of content; one, that I hope last the centuries…this is my personal definition for “content creator extraordinaire”.

I was able to get this content, for my targeted keywords on the first page within 3 minutes flat. 4th spot, just under Craigslist, Jotform and LinkedIn! Content Constructor: A Truthful Review

This is a truthful review about Content Constructor; it is based on my opinions as an original and creative writer. You should first know that I take content creation very seriously; as I do, with the power of the written word! NOT just any word, but the right word, the one that moves people to take notice and take action! This product reminds me of an earlier product about seven years back called Articlewriter. It too brought back snippets of content as well as the URL it referenced; it did this in sentence aggregates, 10, 50-100 search results at a time for your keyword/phrase.

One blog posted an equally bad review stating that the contents were pure gibberish; they had to do with Donald Trump. He indicated that it would be next to impossible to write any kind of article based on the ambiguous and incongruent nature of the results the software spit back!

Quality content that engages and compels a reader to read on and take an intended action, is what it’s all about on the web today. But, not just any content has the power to be shared, bookmarked, and made to go viral. This feat can only be achieved by original, creative content, crafted by the sweat and brow of the writer; painstakingly choosing every word and playing with every nuance, to insure a great read, as well as, mutual understandings between themselves and their readers. They write for them. Content that is copied from elsewhere, hastily tweaked, and casually reworked in just a few minutes, is NOT going to compare to original high-quality and creative content, that is targeted towards a specific readership.

Original creative content gets shared, liked, and talked about; while re-hashed trash, easily becomes yesterday’s news! This program is the lazy marketers/writer’s way to what…riches? I don’t think so! People are waking up to the value of good quality writing; people feel the words, they personally relate to the writer of any piece, article, blog, etc. In my opinion, this product, Content Constructor, can only create poor quality writing, while failing to give the reader the true goods. By that I mean, a relational, timely, factual piece, written with style and a unique voice; and most importantly, written with original creativity and grace. No second hand, regurgitated, mish-mashed words, could ever deliver that kind of creative impact to their loyal readers! Automation is great, for home appliances; yet, when it comes to individual creativity and writing style, no automated tool can EVER by-pass the person behind the word.

Content Constructor may save you time and money at first, creating these aggregated articles, on the fly; but, this not the way to build a quality foundation. Focus only on offering your website visitors quality content, all the way; and NOT, through ‘quickie marketing solutions’! Your Brand will suffer. Get First Page Results Every Time

Let’s be very clear about one thing; it is definitely possible, probable and almost certain, that anyone can “get first page results, almost every time”! Big statement I know; and an even bigger promise; especially these days, with Internet Marketing snake-oil hucksters ‘saying and selling’ anything they can, just for the sake of the ‘God Almighty Dollar’; and, all by way of so many, newly released and just recently launched ‘shinny objects’, that always seem to promise an ‘opportunity’ for untold riches and freedoms; effortlessly, relieving them from their current, intolerable, personal pain and misery. In fact, People will generally reach out to and react to, any hope that they feel may help. Desperate times create desperate measures; especially in the minds of those, desperately looking for a solution or an answer to their present problems or prayers.

In truth, your first page ranking factors are a function of the other competition within any particular niche, or, for a specific keyword; this alone will determine how hard it may be, or how long it may take, to rank on the first page for any particular set of keywords; yet, in most cases and for most keywords, they can be easily ranked for, in order to produce consistent and targeted first page results, every time!

My six year experiment monitoring Google first page search results has taught me many important lessons; including, understanding some of its major algorithmic ranking factors. As you know, words certainly make the world go round; and with Google, it’s definitely words that make their world go round. Everything Google does as a search engine is based on words and their intimate relationship with each other; their meanings and connections; their relevance and significance to other people, and other businesses; most importantly, the value of words to their bottom-line is factually measured in the billions; as anyone familiar with Ad(words) can easily testify!

As a creative writer and dedicated reader of more than fifty-years; I love words and their intricate, delicate, and sometimes even powerfully alluring impact they can have on our minds and emotions; persuasively speaking, words and their poetry, has been known to control, enrage, as well as engage the masses. Words have sparked revolutions, and words have also soothed and sedated the same angry masses. Words inspire and motivate; words have also been known to kill! This is the true power of words. So never underestimate them again, or the impact they play on your lives!

Words can help you get first page results every time; albeit, in a non-competitive niche; otherwise, it will take time and money to be able to achieve those first page results; time and money most internet marketers can ill afford; or, wish to waste, is more like it! Most marketers do not realize the real importance of words, well-written content; or the true value of current, well-researched, engaging, compelling, highly readable content. Anything that you write online, every word, is recorded, analyzed, assimilated, and categorized for hundreds if not thousands of connections by Google.

Additionally, everything is linked to content, mostly words and or images and words. Even every image that is on the first page results is also tagged using words, titles, and descriptions. Google’s’ robots cannot recognize images without their associated words and descriptors. That’s how they get ranked. So, if you want to really “get first page results every time”, use the power of words to do so!

Marketing Hype is Alive and Well

Yes indeed, ‘marketing hype’ is still alive and actually doing better than merely just well! In fact, it is fabulously flourishing and prospering, even today, 2016! Our news headlines, sound or data bytes, are all designed for a dramatic effect! They are emotionally charged packets of info/news that continuously demand and  capture our attention and interest, specifically, by the commanding words used within the headlines and titles of things we read or view on a daily, even hourly basis. Titles sell, titles engage, and powerful headlines can communicate an effective message at the speed of light, or at least, as fast as we can read and be aware of these messages.

Every day, we are exposed, bombarded by, and inundated with, thousands of ads that are constantly being directed at us, from thousands of individual and separate advertising sources. The figures range for 1,000-5,000 ad messages per day. Obviously, we are not equipped to break through all of this random and multi-sourced ad clutter. No one is truly capable of being able to process that many visual/audio exposures per day. By this I mean, we can’t notice, absorb, or even judge the ‘personal meaning’ or significance behind these consumer messages that we receive. 

Additionally, most of these ad messages are not received by us consciously, while, they also come at us from everywhere! These ads are designed to capture our attention and interest as best they can; demanding and commanding our immediate attention, away from our other less demanding ‘life’ activities. They are crafted to interrupt our awareness and to get us to pay attention to their massage, whatever that may be, and in whatever form that may take. Video is fast becoming the main and most powerful medium to deliver ad messages to the masses. Video works. Video sells. And, video is very personalized, so as to engage and convert better than any other form of advertising…EVER!

Not surprisingly, our marketing hype has been transferred to this medium as well; with their commanding and emotionally charged titles that are clearly designed to get you involved on a personal level; while making absurd and generalized promises, disguised, as matter-of-fact statements of ‘expectation’. Here is one example of an online headline and title, “How to Publish a Book and Sell a Million Copies”. This other one, is certainly more blatant and even further hyped, “World renowned doctor says…You can Prevent and Cure Cancer Simply by Eating Two Natural Foods”! 

People, albeit desperate and unaware people, fall prey to this type of ‘wordy’ persuasion. They believe it and react to it; despite their reasoning ability to tell them otherwise, and to be able to discernibly read between-the -lines of this kind of hype!

This marketing hype trend will continue into the future, as more ads means more clutter, and the individual ad message, the one to be heard, viewed, read and acted upon, needs to be constantly used and re-used  in order to continuously rise above the cacophony chaos of our daily lives. Needless to say, “marketing hype is still alive and well”!

How To Get Any Content Back to The First Page Results

Ranking any dead content, even many pages deep-like an old or unwatched video, an archived article or an ancient blog posting-back to the first page results, may take a bit of ingenuity and ranking know-how; but yes, it can be done! Let’s see if I can help you become a master at it by the end of this blog.

To appear on the first page of Google/YouTube again, your content needs a bit of a make-over; it needs further enhancement or optimization; modification or update; including perhaps, some link juice (energy), to boost it up the rankings. I’ll explain as I go along.

Let’s take on an old video for starters that is no longer getting as many views. They may be a few years old. Consider creating a new title and description for it. Find a suitable title that is current and contemporary; use words or phrases, keywords that are being actively searched for today. To find these, use any kind of keyword finder, or use the Google Adwords Planner Tool. Once you have a half a dozen or so popular ones located, use these keywords for your tags and within the description of your video.

You can touch up an old video through YouTube’s simple editor feature. You can also if you like, incorporate annotations, as well as embed this make-over video with whatever calls to action or links you wish. Including, adding any special-effects, a new intro, outro, new images, photos video snips, whatever you want; to make it fresh and timely, maybe even newsworthy; if you can relate to a current popular event or a talked about celebrity.

You can also use the same title, and description, if it still is relevant; and then, add to it as described. If not, just do what I suggested, creating a new look, with a more keyword rich and relevant description, with the appropriate new tags; based on your keyword research findings.

The mechanics for an old article or blog are basically the same as with a video. You may have to re-work the title, or add some more content, i.e., photo’s images, that has been titled and Geo-tagged for your keywords; and then, posting these to your blog or article, as an update. The idea is to make it current and relevant. Using current and relevant content, added as needed. You can rework written content in many ways, new intro, new conclusion, new references and links, quotes, etc. 

You can even find some current and popular content elsewhere and curate it on your site; while giving it your own unique spin, within your updated article or blog posting. Be creative. Be original. Be productive!

Now, once you’ve created your new transformed masterpiece, in whatever form, you will now give it the boost it needs to soar up the search results, to that coveted first page ranking. You can do this in a number of ways, free or paid. Free, may take joining a number of bookmarking sites and manually submitting the links or content to these sites, over a few days or with a free to join automated bookmarking service; so that they can distribute them for you automatically. 

Or, you can get someone on, to send them out, along 500 social bookmarking sites for $5.00, for example. I would do this with 2-3 different vendors. Be willing to spend $10-15.00 if you have to. This is the link and ranking juice it needs to become revitalized and shared, viewed, engaged, anew!

This is the only true and guaranteed way to get any content back to the first page results!

The ABC’s of Social Media and Social Media Marketing

Social networks and social communities, create social media sites, where like-minded and similarly interested people, can hang-out and exchange ideas, photos, videos, images, and any other content they like. Content, in whatever form, feeds the need for people to visit the website, to stay, and to interact, exchange and leave their comments, likes, views, and other content they may want to share with that website’s existing members or visitors.

Social media marketing is a mix bag of tips, tricks, strategies, and knowing what works and what doesn’t, in order to attract massive people’s interest, attention and involvement from within designated social media websites. They range from social, to business, to hobbies, to fetishes, even to hidden desires; all have a social platform and a social element; that of sharing content, likes, comments, or views, with other like-minded social media members. Exchange is the key; exchange is the currency, the life-blood if you will, of social intercourse. It is what fuels the engines of social change, social acceptance, social tolerance, and social innovation. This is what makes up our current online and interactive society.

And, if you wish to communicate and interact with any social group, you must first know and understand that group; its likes and dislikes; as well as its goals, aims and passions. To be a true and socially interacting member of any social media website, you must be current and relevant; your content must matter to its members; and, they must be both willing and have a personal desire to share your content with their friends, acquaintances and associates.

All social media platforms have value and merit as a marketing tool; or more specifically, a communication tool to disseminate and distribute your content along its channels. Keeping in mind, that specific content attracts specific interest and attention. Not everyone will be interested in basket weaving; nor, will they care for astrophysics. Yet, there is content and a niche for every interest or manner of social persuasion.  People love interesting subjects, events, people and things; while they also love to share these with others.

According to a last year blog posting in LinkedIn, on the ‘ABC’s of Social Media Marketing’, Lisa Bertorelli had a fountain of essential words to get to know and share, regarding this timely subject. The future of social media and social media marketing will inevitably bring with it an unknown as well as an unexpected.  “Advertising used to be so simple. Marketers pressed the button marked "campaign launch" and ads on TV, radio, posters and in the press would pour out. But that old trick won't work in social media. If an online campaign fails to tantalize and fascinate and neglects to encourage participation, it'll be ignored or blocked faster than you can say "sneezing panda"”.

The ABC’s of social media and social media marketing need to be understood from the above perspective.

First Page Results Does Not Equal Traffic

Why achieving ‘first page results’ does not equal traffic? Why is it that most business people starting out with a website or an online presence always believe that first page results equals a flood of visitors; when in actuality, based on a ton of past proof, it does not in fact equal any traffic at all? Yet too many people believe this fallacy and create their businesses and websites around it!

Depending on your domain name, the search volume of your domain name/title; and, if it is an exact match for any searched for popular keywords and phrases within the Google search bar. Having a non popular or unknown domain name will not drive traffic to your website, without someone actively driving that traffic through organic SEO, or through paid means. Traffic does not drive itself to any site, without there being a source or a cause for those visitors to arrive.

Your domain name, title of your blogs, videos, and photos, of your content and such, all need to be of searchable terms that people are actually searching for in their browsers; for your site, or content, to show up on the first page for a particular set of words or a specific domain name. Now, if there is no competition of other websites, titles and content, for those phrases or keywords, no competition equals no traffic!

Competition for a set of names, titles or keywords, means there will be people searching for them; people with interest, people searching for solutions, answers, and whatever they need and want from their online searches. They have desires that need fulfilling. The higher the competition, the harder it will be to achieve and maintain a first page position and dominance!

People, traffic, potential visitors, must be actively and currently searching for specific keywords and titles, in order to be considered as a potential source for subscribers, members, leads or sales. A non searched for keyword or domain name will be just that, unknown. No one will know about it and no one will come; at least not until you invite them to come; by whatever means.

So, it is very easy to achieve first page results by various means; but, to stand out amid the competition and bring a flood of traffic to your website takes more than just first page results; it takes knowing your searched for keywords, as well as your competition. Knowing your existing and potential customers better, their exact needs and wants, and what they are precisely looking for, will help you achieve those first page results; in this way, they will always find you; and not your competition.

Take a hint from a Pro, ‘first page results’ does not always equal traffic!

The Future of Internet Marketing: The Landing Page

The landing page is the future of Internet Marketing! Is that all? If you don’t know what one is, how they work, and how to use them in your marketing campaigns, then, you are NOT the savvy business person you may think you are. Plain and simple, without effectively using landing pages in your marketing and advertising arsenal, you’re leaving a lot of money on the table; more money than you would ever think!

Landing pages are nothing new, and they’ve been around since the Internet exploded on the scene. They were at one time better known as an opt-in page, or a squeeze page; they’ve recently gained an air of sophistication and importance for website/landing page conversions. Producing greater numbers of opt-ins, leads, and sales to any site, with no additional traffic; just by using the existing visitors, and converting them.

Landing pages have one specific purpose, conversions! To produce opt-ins, subscribers, memberships, inquiries, leads, sales, estimates, quotes, and any other specific or targeted action you would like your visitor to take while they are on your landing page! They are NOT to be used as a website Home page; as you should already know that a Home page has many other functions; whereas a landing page has only one, CONVERSION!

Sorry to flog this poor horse to death; but, even today, 2016, nearly half of all Adwords ads are still sending traffic to their websites’ Home page, rather than an ad match-specific, converting landing page! Now why is that, why are they throwing away all that money? I wish someone could answer me this one question…why all the waste?

Landing pages help a business do more with less; convert more leads and sales without spending more money on more traffic. They help save time and money, as they are more efficient in creating a bigger ROI on your investment on your weekly/monthly advertising costs; regardless of the ad source. Landing pages make you money, by hitting the right person on the right level at the right time. That’s why they are so powerful! They can be designed to be customer or customer ‘need’ specific.

Now, why are landing pages the future of the Internet Marketing? Because they will continue to do what most websites don’t do…create more business than any other action anyone else can take. They can bring you a 100 to 1 return on your advertising dollar. Is that all? And as such, they will continue to be used and valued for many years to come. At present, video landing pages and landing pages with background video-motion or animation are becoming ever so popular! Because they work; video is great for conversions, and every business person everywhere, should be using video in their business as well.

Therefore, in 2016, if you are NOT using landing pages to make more money, your future as an Internet marketer or business will be limited; and you’ll wonder why your competition has left you eating their dust!
